Hi all, I have 440 still learning ins and outs we have a great 440 club and meet twice a month to learn all the tricks with the mach also sue and Alwin our dealers in New Plymouth NZ have started the 440 mac emb club once a month these classes are free and I am learning a lot ,I was having trouble with tension when embroidering also machine sews perfectley tension set on 3 not 4 as book says ,I think all machines are different .i also have a Pfaff 2144 and it is totally different

tanuja, I haven't had any problems with tension on my machine. Which threads are causing the problem?

bvdh - I am so excited that more men are entering the quilting world. I am finding that they are freer with the quilting concepts that sometimes, we women hold on ourselves. YOU GO GUY!

I have had the 430 for a year now. No troubles at all. I have done much more on the embroidery side than sewing. I love it! I like the sewing features.

let's move to the "Have a question, know an answer" section as it gives me more room to answer you.

I haven't sewn very much with mettler and none with marathon. The only time that I have had a tension problem, I just turned off my machine, moved the tension back to the automatic setting and turned it back on and it "fixed" whatever gremlin there was. I am not familiar with the feather alphabets? Do you mean the ones that were on cutealphabets.com before the butterflies?

hi jrob,i really appreciate ur feed back. if u could please tell me what u mean by automatic tension setting and how u do it. and yes i do mean the same alphabates

cleomisty, is your club online?

My aurora 440 has the embroidey module and the multiple spoolholder. The only trouble I have is with the second point of threading on the top(back)of the machine. The thread gets stuck in the very fine opening next to it and then breaks.Had it looked at by the dealer, but found no solution.Said that the extra threader that you cab buy ,might be the solution. Any ideas????
