Ilove this machine, I have one and I loved,I have 8500D Ilove to.

i have this machine and i LOVE IT! i am glad i waited to buy one when this came out.

THIS IS AN OUTSTANDING MACHINE - EASY TO USE AND EMBROIDERS FLAWLESSLY. I HAVE THE BROTHER 2002d WHICH IS ALSO A WONDERFUL MACHINE. THE ONLY THING IT DOESNT DO IS 'TALK'.

I have this machine, and I all so love it if it was to make my coffes that will be outstanding , only joking.

I had Brother ULT3 but when I saw how easy the Innovis threaded the needle, I had to have one.

My husband bought me this machine for Christmas this year. I LOVE IT! I had a used 8500 and was SOOO happy with it, but this one is so much easier and LOVE the HUGE embroidery field!

Great machine... until it breaks! Has a factory fault in the first edition. Should have been recalled... problem with the needle bar. Mine froze up and I couldn't even turn the hand wheel. Even Brother sent it back to me broken! Once it broke, Brother would not help me, at all! It was only 9 mo. old but they voided my warranty because I took it to a Brother dealer instead of a Brother authorized service center. I didn't know there was a difference... I was a very good customer & had sold MANY friends on Brother, too... but I got no support from Brother! They did not help me one bit! I now have a Janome 11000 which is great! Great embroidery stitches... front & back! Thanks, AD

I too have this awsome machine. Just ask it to stitch something and it will do it!! Self threads the needle, huge emb. field, Disney designs and "oh yes" cuts jumpstitch. It is sooo quiet while stitching. I also have the Brother PC6500 which is very good machine. But, the 4000D is tops. Now if it would just fold the clothes too.

I just got my first machine. A friend said I would love it and she was right. I am in the learning stages still, but it is so easy to use. :)

Ilove this machine, I have one and I loved,I have Brother Inovis 4000D a1lotte germany

I have this machine and confess I dont like it except for the autosave feature on a blackout power failure. However I have had a thread shedding problem with it since new and no one seems to of fixed it... so though it sews wonderfully WHEN it is sewing, and at THAT time I love it, most of the time when I use it I have to sit with it and RETHREAD it all the time, so much that I simply get frustrated. would love to sell it to someone who has a good brother repairer as they would end up with a great machine

by freida 05 Jan 2008 I have had rethreading problems, too. It said I need to rethread even when the thread was not broken. I found a tiny, little thread caught in the head, in the guides. Took tweezers and pulled it out. End of problem.

I just got this machine and so far I love it. Hopefully I won't have any trouble with mine.

Love the machine, but it has had to go back for repairs 4 times in the first year!

by tlracing 03 Jan 2008 same here, I LOVE the machine when it works, but it is in the shop now for the 4th time. I live 2 hours from the nearest authorized dealer.

I want one!

I have had this machine almost 2 yrs with no problems. I love my machine and use it for both embroidery and sewing--it has beautiful stitching for both and is quite user friendly.

I have thiis machine and I have the same problem with the thread sheddding when it sewing and threading. But other tha that it a great machine, easy to use. Carolann

I have this machine as well as an 8500. It's a great machine. My first 4000 was replaced. My second time using it I got a 'machine malfunction' error. Other than that, it's a great machine. I still use my 8500 also. It's a workhorse. Other than for cleaning, it's never been in the shop.

I have a 4000d and a 1500d both are great machines I read that some folks have problems with thread shedding try to freeze the spools it just may help you with that problem

I have a 4000d for 2 years now and I have a great time with it but it's frustrating because of thread shedding and now it's needle bar keeps freezing, twice in a month and the technical support of brother is poor.

by amarilloactor 17 May 2008 I just purchased the 4500D and love it so far. May I ask what "thread shedding" is? I have never heard the term and several people have talked about it and I want to know what to look for. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric

I've had my ULT3D for 3 yrs. I love everything about it except it does shred thread when I'm emroidering FSL; however, when I use Brother thread...no shredding! I also lower the speed to 600...works like a charm!! Wouldn't consider getting rid of it!! Wanda

I've had my Innovis 4000D for a year and have had a lot of problem with thread shredding and poor satin stitch quality in embroidery.A couple of weeks ago it began stopping in the middle of embroidering a design with the needle down and then sometimes would start back up on it's own, sometimes not. I took it in and it turned out there was a senssor going bad that was part of an assembly, they replaced it and it does beautifully now. I also read in one of the embroidery or quilting magazines about surge suppressors and so got a new one as we have a lot of power outages here and the article said line noise and even minor surges, such as an iron plugged into the same line, will cause problems with high tech computerized embroidery machines and over time damages them. Right now I can even embroider FSL with cheap poly thread and have had only a couple of thread breaks in a piece and they look beautiful! Madeira rayon doesn't have any thread breaks. I haven't been getting the thread shred problem like I had before either since the new assembly was put in. Jule

I have the Innov is 4000D. I got it as a retirement present from my husband. This is my 3rd Brother machine. I started with the 800 and moved to the 100 and now this one. I loved them all. My best friend has the 800 and my daughter has the 1000. They are all still running great. I do have some problems with thread shedding. I also have the Innov is 40 for sewing. I love them all.

I HAVE A INNOV-IS 700EII AFTER 2 MONTHS IT WAS BROKEN ,I SEND IT BACK TO THE BROTHER FACTORY IN BELGIUM AND AFTER 3 WEEKS OF WAITHING BROTHER BELGIUM SENDS IT BACK TO ME,2 PIECES WHORE BROKEN BROTHER MAKE THESE AND NO PROBLEMS ANYMORE,I LOVE THIS MACHINE,IT MAKES GREAT EMBROIDERY WORKS

I have an innov 4000D and think its great. There has been one or two minor problems but agree with another comment if you clean the bobbing case and constantly just check the tension area because small bits of thread of lint stuck here can cause havoc as they are sensitive. The only thing im still struggling with is the software im still new to it and cant seem to achieve what i want to sometimes. However a great machine. Suebop. uk

I have this machine and love it. It can get a little touchie over thread. Just need to keep it clean in the tension and bobbin areas. Don't want any fuzz messing with the sensors or little threads in the upper or lower thread area. I would buy it again.
