I love the machine but I am not happy with the support from Janome or from my dealer. The Janome site never has new designs, at least none in the year and 2 months I have had my MC11000. The site's lessons and instructions are mostly geared toward the 10000. There is a hotline for the top three memory craft machines where you can get help. I am waiting for over a week now for a response. I can't make head or tails out of Digitizer Pro and I can't find anyone to teach me. Janome is right here in northern NJ and I can't even get them to have a class in the area. I bought my machine from Pocono SewandVac in Stroudsburg, PA, but they are not teaching the Digitizer Pro. They are teaching Generation software and they suggested that I sell my Digitizer Pro software on Ebay and then spend another $1200.00 buying the Generation digitizing software so that I could pay more for classes to learn it. From what I have learned from the machine on my own, I am happy with the MC11000. As far as support, I am miserable about it. The instruction manual is also small and not detailed enough in any area. If you buy make sure your dealer will support you.

I love Janome Digitizer Pro software and recommend that you subscribe to Digi tips run by Jim Strutsman http://www.onlinesewing.com/newsletters.asp. He is also retailing the new CD from Trevor Conquergood for the Janome programme at http://www.onlinesewing.com/store/nlspecials.asp although its currently sold out. I used to sell Janomes, before I was laid off the 11000 is a beautiful machine and love that square hoop!

I heard great things about this machine. For those who don't know, I was informed that it even has a screen saver ( which you can put even your own photo) When I upgrade, this will be my choice.

That is correct, you can load your own pictures to the screen saver.

for britavis...go to http://www.clubj.onlinesewing.com/ and http://www.mc11000.net/ This is the BEST place for all the information you could ever want to learn about your Janome 11000. I check it faithfully everyday. The forums are well worth subscribing to! If you have ANY kind of problem, Jim (who runs the site) or one of the other members has ALWAYS helped out!

for britavis, I also have had problems with getting answers to questions But I had best luck with this Janome # 1-800-631-0183. I am lucky my 17yr old son has helped a lot with Digitizer pro. My machine was in the shop and I just played with the program for hours. I am finally getting it. A nearby town is now offering classes I can't wait.:)

I have this machine, I love it. I am in my sewing room all the time. My dealer is wonderful, I can call her and she helps me anytime I ask. The repair man will pick up my machine and return it to me the same day if possible. Love everything about my machine.

This is a fabulous sewing machine, it iis the best machine I have ever sewed with. I had the 10,000 model first and decided to update their is so many more features. I have a fabulous dealer and all the help and advice anyone could wish for. They also have a lot of various classes, and this is where you get the full use of the machine

I have just bought this machine, I am looking forward to using it. I had a 300e but had to sell it earlier this year when we downsized, now I have the combined machine I will possibly also sell my 4800.

I have had a lot of trouble getting designs onto the machine through USB port, its always saying it isn't formatted. I have gotten the upgrade but don't know how to put it on. I am so frustrated with this machine. I will go to the websites you all mentioned and see what I can find to do. Thanks for your comments. I feel there is hope.

I bougth my Janome 11000 two years ago and I am very satisfied. This is my second embroiderymachine. May be your problem with getting designs onto the machine though the USB-stick is the way yoy save the files on it. You must make and save the designs in folders (and in JEF format).

sewbeaut, you have to format the memory stick then you have to download a built in design from your machine onto the stick before it will work

I started with the 10000, upgraded twice and am in love with the 11000. It trims threads, has a stronger arm, soooo accurate when taking the hoop off and putting back on. I drive 2 hrs to White Sewing Center in Scranton PA where the women there seem to know everything and are extremely educated and helpful. I have seen other machines and they don't even compare the the 11000. As for Janome tech support, they have been extremely helpful, have returned all my calls and emails and answered my questions. I met the Janome Educators and tech support girls at Rays Sewing Center annual seminar in Nevada (usually in June) and they are very helpful and educated. I would highly recommend all Jamone owners to go to at least one seminar, you will definately learn something new. The seminars are yearly and advertised in sewing magazines. Thier web site is rayssewingcenter.net. I believe in giving great praises when deserved since so many people sound off on the negatives and forget to loudly yell out the positives! Have a great Christmas!

I am considering purchasing a Janome MC11000. If anyone is thinking about selling theirs, please email me. I would be interested. Also, I have a Janome MC5700 that I am going to sell. If anyone is interested in that, email me.

I absolutely LOVE this machine. Easy to use. Awesome features. Digitizer Pro is difficult to learn if you want to do your own digitizing...and not many people wnat to teach it either. I gave up on that and just ENJOY MY MACHINE. I purchase patterns I love and go from there.

I am new to embroidery by machine (previously all by hand) and have the 11000. It is fabulous. Easy to work with and such great results. The thing I like the most about machine embroidery is it is so easy on the hands (have arthritis).

This machine is simply the best You have so many options to transfer the designs. They can be downloaded directly from the computer, and sew out on the machine or put onto a USB stick or Memory Card. and if you don't have a computer or want to have one you can purchase your designs on a CD and then purchase a CD ROM and connect it to the machine and sew out the designs from the CD. Then their is so many other features on this machine and I have wonderful support and lessons for where I purchased it from. We have just been told they are bringing out a upgrade for the machine which will have some fantastic extras like stippling the whole quilt just to name one., just can't wait for this. I are just about to put my third quilt together now. If I can work out how to make the photo into a JPG I will put it in the Project page. Regards Dixie
